integrated entertainment experience, the film will reference elements of the
game's story. Fans will want to play the game to learn more about the TRON

    Tron: Evolution

Tron: Evolution is a third-person action-adventuretie-in video game for the film Tron: Legacy by Propaganda Games, published by Disney Interactive. It was officially announced at the Spike Video Game Awards and was released for the Microsoft WindowsPlayStation 3PlayStation Portable and Xbox 360 platforms on November 26, 2010 in Europe and December 7, 2010 in North America. Downloadable content is available via digital download The music in the game was composed by Sascha Dikiciyan (aka Sonic Mayhem), Cris Velasco (God of War) and Kevin Manthei. Two tracks come from the movie's original sound track: "Derezzed" and "The Grid" , composed by Daft Punk

    Gameplay

Evolution is a third-person action game with racing and RPG elements incorporated. The game features both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. The basic gameplay focuses on acrobatics and combat. Player's movements are heavily parkour-influenced, while combat was inspired by capoeira. The game also features light cycle races. Each cycle leaves a light trail that can destroy or "derezz" any enemy.Evolution features persistent character progression system, that lets players earn new levels and unlock new upgrades, both in multiplayer and singleplayer.
    Tron: Evolution (PC)

    Multiplayer

There are four different game modes in the game and four maps available initially. Two modes focus on combat with light discs and two other modes feature vehicular combat on light cycles, as well as a special light tank vehicle. Up to 10 people can play in online matches. Disintegration and team disintegration are classic deathmatch modes. Power Monger is a node control mode and Bit Runner is a capture-the-flag variation. There is also a levelling system, which upgrades your character version (level) and gains you more memory for upgrades. Your character can gain versions up to 50. When you are version 50 you cannot upgrade your character anymore.
Two more multiplayer maps, as well as a Sam Flynn character skin, were made available at the game's launch as downloadable content through codes included in the game package.Five more maps were released in a downloadable pack; one of these, the "Classic" map, is a replica of the light cycle grid from the original Tron film.
    Tron: Evolution (PC)

    Plot

Tron: Evolution serves as a prequel to the movie Tron: Legacy and sequel to both the graphic novel Tron: Betrayal and the Nintendo Wii and DS versions, Tron: Evolution - Battle Grids. It is designed to be an integral part of the Tron story, featuring certain characters and settings from both films. Evolution explains the events that led to Kevin Flynn's imprisonment inside the Grid,as well as telling how the Grid evolved through the years. The player controls a Monitor program named Anon (short for anonymous), a security program written by Flynn to investigate a conspiracy in the world of Tron.
The game starts with a video footage of Kevin Flynn who is discussing about the existence of ISOs (Isomorphic Algorithms), a group of programs with a measure of free will that have emerged spontaneously on the Grid, and are disliked by the Basic programs. Jalen, one of the leaders of the ISOs, recently died and Flynn suspects the murder was organized by Clu, a second version of the original program from the first film. Flynn creates a new Monitor to try to control the system.
Radia, leader of the ISOs, is at a formal ceremony to make her a System Administrator alongside Clu. Tron asks Anon to guard the ceremony, but finds a suspicious female, Quorra, who tries to talk her way past the guards and Anon follows her. The ceremony is violently disrupted by the virus program, Abraxas, but Anon intervenes and battles him, damaging Abraxas' identity disc and forcing the virus to flee. Clu disparages the "flaws" of the new ISOs. Tron suggests Flynn leave the Grid for his own safety.
During his battle against Abraxas-inspired corruption, Anon sees Flynn and Tron being ambushed and killed by Clu and his guards. The Monitor discovers the female Quorra, who also saw the killings. They visit Zuse at a nightclub that serves as a haven for ISOs. Zuse gives them Solar-Sailer access codes and suggests they warn Radia, since her word will be believed by the ISOs. As they leave the nightclub, the elevator slope connecting it and the ground is shattered, leaving those in the nightclub stranded. As they travel to the solar sailer station, they see several groups of ISOs being terrorized, they realize that Clu has declared war on the ISOs.
Quorra and Anon are secretly present to observe a meeting between Clu and Radia. Clu tells Radia that Anon killed Flynn. He requests that Radia gather the ISOs together for "protection". After Clu leaves, Quorra and Anon tell the truth to Radia. Radia responds that Flynn was not killed, but was rescued by an ISO called Gibson. Anon finds Gibson, but they discover that Flynn has vanished and Abraxas has arrived. Anon and Gibson flee, but Abraxas catches up with them and infects Gibson. Anon is then forced to fight the now infected Gibson and successsy defeats him. After many battles, Anon finds Quorra again and she explains that Clu has recently attacked and destroyed all ISOs on the Grid.
Quorra and Anon once again secretly observe a meeting between Clu and Radia. Abraxas arrives, and Radia realizes that he was once Jalen, and that Clu had infected him to create the pretext for the destruction of the ISOs. Abraxas kills Radia, the last ISO. No longer wanting to wait, Quorra went after Clu, leaving Anon to fight against Abraxas and manages to defeat him by leading him to a falling debris. Anon later meets with Flynn, who had modified his disc with the Abraxas shards he found and discovers that Quorra has stowed away on Clu's warship. Anon finds a way aboard, Clu throws Quorra down to the deck. Anon and Abraxas have a final showdown. Abraxas uses energy cores to multiply his power. When Abraxas enters the central core, Clu yells that he will overload the core, and the ship. Anon destroys the core with Abraxas in it, finally de-rezzing him. Clu runs away while Anon goes to Quorra and picks her up. As the ship is exploding, Anon dives off the side of the ship and grabs onto a Recognizer. The blast from the explosion malfunctions the Recognizer causing it to fall. When it hits the floor, Anon and Quorra are thrown to the ground, but the Recognizer is still tumbling toward them. Anon throws Quorra out of the way following Flynn's last command to protect her. The Recognizer then crushes Anon, and he is de-rezzed.
Quorra wakes up and sees Anon fading under the Recognizer, she watches him de-rezz right in front of her. Alone in the middle of the wasteland, she collapses, expecting to run out of energy and de-rezz. Just when she thinks all hope is lost she opens her eyes and sees the creator, Flynn, standing above her. Clu survives to rule an ISO-free Grid, and Flynn and Quorra are outcasts. She reflects on how both Flynn and Anon saved her.

    Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (officially abbreviated as PES 2011 and known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2011 in Asia) is an association football video game in the Pro Evolution Soccer series developed and published by Konami with production assistance from the Blue Sky Team. The game was announced on 9 February 2010 and was released on the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on 30 September 2010 in the European Union and 8 October 2010 in the United Kingdom. The versions of Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable were released on 28 October 2010. The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League are featured within the game, and for the first time in the series, UEFA Super Cup and CONMEBOL's Copa Libertadores will be sy licensed.
The first trailer was released on 4 May 2010, while an E3 trailer was released in June 2010, showing some of the new features of the game. The game also sees the return of Lionel Messi as its cover star.It is currently the last game to feature the Argentine footballer as it cover star. ITV's Jim Beglin has been implemented as new co-commentator to Jon Champion for PES 2011. A demo of PES 2011 was released for PC and PS3 on 15 September 2010. The demo allowed users to play ten minute games with four teams available: FC Barcelonaand Bayern Munich or Copa Libertadores pair Chivas de Guadalajara and SC Internacional. A video presentation was also included after each match outlining the s game's content in readiness of the game's UK launch on 8 October 2010.

    Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (PC)

    New features

    • Total Control: PES has enhanced the 360 degree passing ratio, offering unprecedented levels of control over every pass, shot, throw-in, through-ball, and lofted through-balls. This allows users to pass the ball into space, and move their play with total freedom. Players must precisely weight their passes and second-guess the runs of their team-mates and exploit their movement. Players can apply pressure on opponents to force them off the ball.
    • Shot and Stamina Gauge: In addition to the generic power gauge, the shot and stamina metre details the player's level of fitness. Constantly sprinting will affect the player's movements and will have an adverse effect on his stats, with passes going awry and a loss of pace.
    • New Defender AI: Defenders now hold their positions naturally, no longer chasing any ball that enters their area; preferring to close down the attacker and force them into a mistake.
    • Improved Goalkeepers: Players now have more control over their goalkeeper. This greater control allows for quick roll-outs, saves, improved accuracy with goal kicks, and precision ball distribution to make quicker breaks or playing down the clock easier.
    • Animation and Player Physics: PES has reworked every element of in-game animation. These additions will become clear before even kick-off, with the players enjoying more natural movements, with more realistic acceleration and inertia. The physicality between players is also improved, which was a priority requested in PES forums. Jostling and blocking now looks much better, while there is a larger variety of convincing tackling styles. Ambient animation also adds immensely to the in-game atmosphere, as players behave realistically when off the ball, and walk and run with a variety of individual styles. PES 2011 on the PSP has commentary and the players coming onto the pitch and real stadiums instead of none on the PSP.
    • Stadium Editor: The stadium editor allows the player to create his own stadiums. One will be able to edit the stands by selecting preset built structures, seat colours, the adboards and hoardings, the turf style (similar to Pro Evolution Soccer 2008), the architecture and roofing of the stands, whether there's a running track, plain ground, or grass around the pitch. One can also select to have fencing near the seats similar to certain stadia present in Germany and other parts of the world. Once all that has been put together, the user can now choose the setting for the stadium. The user is given the option to specify a background layout, with a variety of both urban and rural backdrops. After that, there is a possibility of adding a background image, with stock items including city scenes - and a mountain range that looks similar to the one seen in the background on the PES 3 intro. With this tool it should be possible to recreate many different stadiums from all over the world with lots of variation in style. There are currently around 25 stadiums in PES 2011 (not all licensed ones). This is more than PES 2010, which had 22. There will be a total of 25 slots to create stadiums, giving a grand total of 50 possible stadiums.
    • Speed of Play: The new level of control means that PES 2011 enjoys a more considered pace of play, which varies dependent on situations. The game will burst into life as counter-attacks come into play, but players can dictate the pace via slow build up or exploiting available space to surge forward. It is harder to make long runs from midfield, and successful play will depend on making quick passes to make room.
    • Aesthetics: Facial animation has been enhanced, but the key advances are over 1,000 all-new animations which have been recreated from the ground up using over 100 hours of motion captured footage. Every aspect of player movement has been reworked, with more organic runs, turns, throw-ins, tackles, and interaction. The way players speed up and slow down is also more natural, while replays display elements of motion blur that bring the user's saved goals to vivid life.
    • Tactical and Strategy: The sheer number of options available in the PES series has established it as a remarkably flexible simulation, allowing players to stamp their playing style on each match. The PES Productions team has implemented an all new "drag and drop" mechanism that can be used in every aspect of team management, not just substitutions or formation changes. These settings are also animated to promote better understanding of the plays that have been altered. Option to predefine team play style every 15 minutes also added.
    • Feint settings: PES offers a wide range of subtle skills, feints and turns, but PES 2011 allows users to map their favourite move sequences to the right stick, making them more accessible than ever before.
    • Master League Online: Master League offers an all-new challenge, as users are invited to try their hand against other managers online.PES 2011 marks the online debut for its much-loved Master League element, with players bidding against each other for the world's best players, and attempting to build a squad that can compete with the best against online peers all over the globe.
    • Other Edit Features: PES 2011 does not feature a boot editor. Boots and balls will be added by Konami through updates like PES 2010. One is be able to create teams, stadiums, and even s leagues (for use with offline game modes such as Become a Legend, League/Cup, and Master League) with qualification structures. In addition, the user will be able to edit the league emblems too. This is all on top of the current edit mode system that is present in PES 2010.

    Updates

    Version 1.01

On 22 October 2009, the first patch for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game was released between 10:00 and 12:00 (GMT). The "Legends," "Community," and "Competition" online modes were added.

    Version 1.02

On 9 November 2009, a patch for World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2010 was released at 6:00 (GMT). The patch updated the Japan national team kits and various team squads.A patch for PES 2010 was released on 17 November 2009, which fixes the problem of edit data reverting to default when content is downloaded. On 24 November 2009, another patch for PES 2010 was released, including graphical additions and a roster update.

    Version 1.03

The update makes the game's formation settings easier to use, and also adds icons to show the connectivity status of online players. All settings can now be saved and stocked data will be loaded automatically, speeding up play immediately. Likewise, the new connectivity icons will show the user as a grey icon, with green, yellow, and red icons detailing the quality of the opponent’s connection, with red being the worse. The update also improves match making between users of the PC-DVD version of the game with different processors.

    Version 1.04 & 1.05

The new update was released on 16 February 2010 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The latest update files brings every club team roster in line with all changes and transfers made up to 15 January. Some player parameters were updated in line with their performance in the first half of the season and a new boot design was included. However, when implementing the new Download Contents, all save data created before the update remained with certain Edit Data reverting to default. Player and team data will remain edited, while player registration and formation data will revert to Default. Deleting the Download contents from the system menu will invalidate any save data created after its implementation.
It was revealed on 17 February 2010 that the new update contained incorrect data, and some players' free kick motion do not appear properly. When any of these players are used in a match, the game may not perform properly, and PES would like the player to refrain from using these players until the problem is addressed. PES are currently in preparation for releasing the corrected data, which will address the problem once it is applied to the game, and they would like to ask the player not to remove any game data. They are making every effort to release the corrected data later this week, and the schedule will be announced once fixed. They sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused by this problem.
On 19 February 2010, a fixed version of the update was released, concerning the inadequate free kick motion, and included a newer better transfer update.

    Version 1.06

The update includes new ball UEFA Champions League Final Madrid 2010, new ADIDAS F90 Unint Messi boots and some tweaking to the rosters.

    Version 1.07

An update containing various new international kits was released on June 8. It contained updated squads for some international teams, except: Czech Republic, Northern Ireland, Scotland (Adidas new sponsor) and Turkey.

    Reception

The game has received positive reviews. Greg Howson of The Guardian gave PES 2010 a favourable review, stating, "it has quickly became obvious that on the pitch — ultimately where it matters most, of course — PES simply plays the more satisfying and entertaining game of football [in comparison to FIFA 10]. When it comes to the basic on-pitch action there looks to be a clear winner". IGN gave the game a 8.7/10, while PSM3 gave the game a 89. Gamespot, however, gave the PS3 and 360 versions a 6.5.

    Pro Evolution Soccer 6

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (also known as Winning Eleven 10 and Winning Eleven X for Xbox 360 in Japan, Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the United States) is one of Konami's highly successful Pro Evolution Soccer franchise. Released on 27 October 2006 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and PC platforms and following on the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable on 1 December 2006, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is the 6th edition of the series for the PlayStation 2, 2nd for the PlayStation Portable and 4th for PC. This year features Pro Evolution Soccer 6 making its debut on the Nintendo DS and the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version features improved graphics, but retains gameplay similar to the other console versions. The edit mode has been stripped down for the Xbox 360 release, due to time restrictions. The graphics engine on the PC does not utilise the next-gen 360 engine but will again be a direct conversion of the PlayStation 2 engine.
A Bundesliga license was supposed to be a feature of the game but Konami were forced to remove the Bundesliga license, which means the Bundesliga is not present in PES6, not even as a series of unlicensed teams, with the exception of FC Bayern Munich who were sy licensed with the omission of their shirt sponsor T-Home.

    New features

    International Challenge Mode

PES6 marks the first time the International Challenge Mode has been included on the PES Series. Usually this is seen on the Japanese version - Winning Eleven - where you play as Japan and take them through the qualifiers to the International Cup and then attempt to win it. On PES, however, you have the ability to choose any playable nation on the game. The user can only play the qualifiers from Europe ,Asia ,South America, and North/Central America. Although the tournament is not licensed, the qualifiers have a lot of similarities to the FIFA World Cup qualification process:
    • A cross-playoff is used between a South American team and an Oceanian team, and a North American team plays an Asian team.
    • There is the same number of qualifiers on the game from each region as there is in the real World Cup. e.g., 14 qualify from Europe.
    • The qualifiers from South America are the same - 10 teams play each other twice with the top 4 qualifying and 5th place entering the cross-playoff.
    • The qualifiers from North America are the same - 6 teams play each other twice with the top 3 qualifying and 4th place entering the cross-playoff.
Team selection can be changed before each game and the player can choose from any player with the eligible nationality.
The International Challenge mode is only available in the PlayStation 2 and PC versions of PES6. The Xbox 360 and PSP versions do not include this mode.

    Leagues

    Unlicensed
    • England Premier League
    Licensed
    • France Ligue 1
    • Italy Serie A
    • Netherlands Eredivisie
    • Spain La Liga

    Random Selection Match

Also new to PES6 is the Random Selection Match. In this mode, the user can pick up to either four clubs/nations or one region/league. Once selected, the computer picks a random selection of players from the teams or region for the player's squad. The lineup is selected automatically, although players can choose to let the computer to pick another random selection. This was not included in the Xbox 360 version, presumably because of time restrictions.

    PES shop

    • Players are available as always, but there have been many more added (all unlicensed, but based on real players). It's not only retired "legendary players" that can be bought, Kerlon and Freddy Adu, who are still active, are both available.
    • Costumes can be bought. The Ostrich and Raptor costumes have the players riding them. The Penguin costume has the player in a penguin suit. When riding the raptors, they shoot, header, control, pass and do all the hard work, but their shooting ability is much less than a normal player.
    • Gameplay frames, new hairstyles, new goal celebrations, and new stadiums are other new features available in the PES Shop.
    • The PES Shop is present on all versions of the game, with the exception of the Xbox 360 version

    Network

Groups have been introduced on the PES Network. A player can join/create a group that can gain points by playing together. Groups can play each other in rival matches. If a player creates a group, they manage who's in and who's out, the team name, and who else can allow others to join and matches. A player can join a group by applying to join or accepting an invitation from another player. If the leader accepts, they are in the group. Only ten are allowed in one group at first, but there can potentially be 30 in a group at one time. Groups can reach levels with the highest level to progress to is Level 14. When you achieve higher levels, you will unlock different costumes (penguin, dinosaur, and ostrich) and classic national teams. Also, you can achieve extra member spaces in your group when you go up in level.
The Network capabilities have since been relinquished.

    Platform differences

It should be noted that though the Xbox 360 version lacks dressing, it is the only version with a sy analogue Manual Pass feature, as well as much more sophisticated ball physics compared to the PS2 version and can therefore be argued to be the ultimate version in terms of gameplay as well as an online community that continues to have matches available all of the time. Even to this very day several years after the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and onwards, marking the point where the series underwent significant changes to the gameplay that remain in the series to this day.

    Critical response

In 2006, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 got a perfect 10/10 score in the Official PlayStation 2 Magazine UK, which beat FIFA 07 (9/10 in the same magazine). However, the PSP version of the game ranked beneath the FIFA 07 PSP version due to slow loading times and an incomplete editor. Hyper's Eliot Fish commends the game for its "tighter dribbling [and] refined Master League" but criticises it for its commentary.

    Notes

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 marks the last in a sequence for the Pro Evolution Soccer and even International Superstar Soccer series. Although the series started earlier, upon release on the Playstation console, International Superstar Soccer Pro, a version of the game was produced that began to slowly evolve with each annual revision within the series. Starting in 1997, and spanning 10 years, each game in the series (which was at the time widely considered to be light years ahead of FIFA's efforts) was piece by piece becoming more tight, more responsive and ultimately a much more complete football sim. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 on the Xbox360 (being released as a souped up port of the PS2 version and as such having more detailed gameplay, in spite of superficial omissions such as edit mode or stadiums) is the last game to be released in this chain of evolution.
The next release in the series broke the chain and was developed for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, to take advantage of the new next generation technology to the s (PES6 on Xbox360 being largely a tweaked port of previous generation). However, it soon became apparent to the media and game playing public that something very big had been lost with this change. The New Pro Evolution Soccer series (unofficial title), spanning Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 to present, represents a much less enjoyable and less sophisticated football simulation experience and many fans the world over have chosen to think of PES6 as sadly the last game in a discontinued series.
